“ I ordered soups to go, and even one portion was more than enough, it lasted me two days. The soups were absolutely delicious, offering comfort and warmth, perfect for a cold day. The restaurant was quite busy during lunch, so I was glad I opted for takeout. The soups stayed hot for a long time. One small suggestion: please include a fork with to-go orders. Parking was convenient, with designated spaces for pick-up orders, and I noticed they also offer valet parking. ”
“ This place is the perfect spot for comforting Korean food. I've been to Chef Kang's other restaurant Haneum and enjoyed it so I knew Dasom had to be good too. I got their popular bone broth ugly beef rib soup and it was so delicious. The broth is so warm and comforting and I basically finished all of it and it was so filling. ”
“ Good food. Clean restaurant. Friendly service. Very reasonably priced meal kit take out menu. ”
“ For the price and portion sizes, this spot is a hidden gem in Ktown LA--a must-visit for anyone who loves hearty, comforting meals! Dason by Chef Kang had been on my friend's list for a while, so we finally decided to give it a try. From the moment we walked in, the staff was warm and welcoming, and we were seated right away. We'd already scoped out the menu, so ordering was easy--we went straight for their popular bone broth ugly beef rib soup. One thing that stood out immediately was the variety of sides they serve, including pickled radish, quail eggs, and other tasty bites. It really added to the experience and felt uniquely Korean. When the soup arrived, it reminded me of galbi tang--and it tasted just as comforting! The broth was bold and peppery, packed with flavor, and the beef was so tender it practically slid off the bone. Considering the quality and portion sizes, I'd definitely come back. If you're in Ktown and craving something hearty and delicious, this place should be on your list! ”
“ This place is really good and a great price for how much you get as well. The water is barely tea, but I'm sure you can ask for normal water if you want. I had the red beef bone soup. Very filling and delicious. I will say though, be careful of the tiny bone shards. Their banchan is super good. I really enjoyed their kimchi. The quail eggs were great. The dried squid was really good. Like none of their sides were a miss for me. They all hit! Bathroom isn't the cleanest, probably like a 6/10. Parking has a guy in the lot that makes you pay $3. Overall, would definitely come back again. ”
“ 매운소꼬리찜 너무 맛있고 우거지갈비탕은 최고입니다 가격좋고 종업원친절하고 맛도 좋읍니다 강추합니다 다음엔 떡갈비를 먹어보렵니다 장소는 그리크지 않으나 맛은 보장된곳이네요 뒤쪽에 여분의 후리 파킹을 이용하세요 ”
“ Usually I come to Koreatown solely for Korean BBQ, but I made it a point to try some traditional Korean food for once. Trusted in my friend to pick a good spot for that. And that's how we ended up at Dasom! Since it was just two of us, we shared a Braised Short Rib which was essentially pre-cooked hot pot. The menu said this was enough for 2 to 3 people and they were not kidding! There was plenty of short rib in the soup, so much so that I had actually wished we had three people because I was way too full after eating this. Also came with noodles and a heaping of vegetables. Definitely felt like a balanced meal! I also enjoyed the banchan, especially the very fresh kimchi and small boiled eggs. Service here is good. Not too many people in here, but they made sure everyone got attention. Parking here is valet for $4. Pretty much standard fare in Koreatown. Really enjoyed Dasom. Definitely want to come back to try some other things on the menu. ”
“ This is my new favorite spot for traditional Korean food. As a Korean, I usually look for more traditional meals versus the bbq because no one eats that at home lol. What I first noticed about this place was the big open space and how clean it was. I was also impressed by all the items on the menu. My friend and I split the braised short rib that came in the hot pot. There was plenty of beef in there and the soup base was delicious. I was impressed by the fresh kimchi as well, along with some other side dishes. Next time I come back I want to try the army stew, which looks pretty popular. I have a feeling this place will blow up and will have a long wait out the door next time I'm back. The only major con about this place is that the parking is horrendous, even for valet. But then again where is it NOT bad in K-town? ”
“ [edit] will have to try the oxtail next time then!!! ==== 4.5/5 because banchan was a teensy lacking + needed more dumplings in my dumpling rice cake soup $41ish for two dishes and lots of leftovers Pretty poppin' for a Saturday morning! Also smelled great *___* Special dumpling rice cake soup Is soooo good even with no hangover. I do wish there was more dumplings instead of the 3-4? That were in my bowl, but in terms of flavor, it was delish! The rice cakes soak up the broth so hurry and eat! Wagyu oxtail Woah this is super flavorful. But also little to no meat lol lots of fat/skin/tendon that was cooked wonderfully. This needs to be paired with a pickle of some sort , the banchan really helped. I'd get this dish if there's 3+ people eating! The medium spice def packs a punch and I enjoyed eating this with something sweet at home to offset the spice. Banchan Quail eggs and fish cake were our fav! There was also omelette and sausage slices so that's cool. Super solid place for Korean food at good prices. Some dishes aren't ginormous compared to other spots, but the flavor and quality is really there. ”
